Live Events
In addition to shooting and post-production, I have a decade of experience working live events. From 2008-2011 I worked approximately 280 Binghamton Mets baseball games. My first year was as an intern, and I was hired full-time the next year. There I directed all in-game content; including videos, PA reads, promotions and contests, and even the post-game fireworks.
At the New Jersey Devils I directed over 100 home games, including three Stanley Cup Final games. For the Devils I called cameras, replays, video clips and contests, and was in charge of sounding the goal horn. I also directed the in-arena feed for the 2013 NHL Draft and managed the Devils PA announcer during the 2014 NHL Stadium Series game at Yankee Stadium.
In my four years with the Pittsburgh Pirates I’ve worked well over 300 games, many of them in that very same directing role. Two standout events in my time here was the 2015 National League Wild Card Game, and the 2017 MLB Little League Classic in Williamsport, PA. When I was promoted to Manager of Game Presentation, I took over the producer role and my in-game responsibilities have continued to grow.
Live event production is what initially got me into video when I was a kid, and though it is just one part of my skill set, it’s one I take great pride in.
